About U.S. Wealth Watcher

U.S. Wealth Watcher is an independent project. It gathers public records about elected officials, candidates, senior appointees, and other public officials, then turns those records into pages people can read.

The goal is simple: put the money, the office, and the public record in one place. The site is not run by any government agency, campaign, party, donor, contractor, or lobbying firm.

The figures come from public records, including financial disclosures, Federal Election Commission filings, lobbying records, contract records, and other public data sets.

The methodology page explains how we estimate net worth, count campaign money, and label limits in the data. The sources page lists the source systems and licenses.

We state facts and draw no conclusion. We show the money and the votes and let you decide what they mean.

• Every page uses plain English.
• Every figure links to its source.
• We do not call a donation, trade, vote, contract, or meeting proof of a motive.
• Outside spending is labeled as spent for or spent against. We do not call it money someone gave to a candidate.
• When a page uses partial data, a capped list, or an estimate, the page says so.
